LEADERSHIP DURING ECONOMIC CRISIS: INSIGHTS FROM THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION
The Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management is delighted to present an economic discourse with Shaun Donovan, former Director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Barack Obama. Mr. Donovan will talk about his time as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development following the U.S. financial crisis of 2007-2008 and will provide insight into the role the federal government played in pulling the U.S. economy through the crisis. The discussion will explore themes such as the role of public institutions during times of crisis, parallels between the U.S. and Canada’s economies, and the current transition of leadership.
Sebastien Betermier, Assistant Professor of Finance at Desautels, will lead the discussion with Mr. Donovan.
