This seminar is designed to give participants an introduction to various types of intellectual property protection and how to enforce intellectual property rights.

Attendees will learn the following:

1. Basics of copyright, trademarks, patents, industrial design and trade secret law
2. How to protect intellectual property rights
3. How to commercialize intellectual property rights

John Myers is a partner with the law firm Taylor McCaffrey LLP. He has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. His practice is focused on all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry.
