Description

York Region Public Health invites you to an information and training session to help your organization become a naloxone distribution site.

Using a train-the-trainer approach, this session will train participants who can then train others to distribute and use naloxone.

The session consists of three parts.

8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Registration

9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - Naloxone training

10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. - What does it mean to become a naloxone distribution site?

Eligible organizations include:

· Community Health Centres
· Aboriginal Health Access Centres
· AIDS service organizations
· Outreach organizations
· Shelters
· Withdrawal management programs

We request a maximum of three representatives per organization.

Light refreshments will be provided in the morning.

Naloxone kits will be available at the training session in limited quantities.
