Interfaith Symposium
Event Information
About this Event
Ahmadiyya Muslim Women Association cordially invites you to the Interfaith Symposium themed, “Role of Faith in Peace making and Conflict Resolution”
Join us as different faiths come together to educate the community about each other's views on a better, peaceful, global society for our future generation, as Canada is marked by diversity and interfaith harmony.
To live harmoniously in a multicultural community, it is imperative that we educate ourselves about the values of our neighbours and friends. For over twenty years, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association has been holding Interfaith Symposiums to achieve this.
This symposium will provide an opportunity for you to:
- Get together with individuals of varying faiths and backgrounds.
- Learn from our learned speakers and faith representatives who will illuminate us on their faith perspectives.
- Make new friends!
The theme of this year's symposium is the need for time in our modern society today, especially because misinformation is pervasive and the reality is rarely given precedence.
We are excited and fortunate to have the following speakers on the panel this year to enlighten us with their views on their respective faiths:
- Christianity : Kathy Murtha
- Indigenous : Cheyenne Williams
- Islam: Bushra Rashid
- Judaism : Arliene Botnick
- Sikhism : Harpreet Kaur
Note: This is a ladies-only event and the Zoom link will only be provided to registrants. Please start joining by 1:45 pm on the day of the event.
