Event description

Description

Join master beekeepers Julia Common, co-founder and chief beekeeper at Hives for Humanity, and Lindsay Dault, owner of Urban Bee Supplies and Urban Bee Honey Farm, and discover how to take your beekeeping to the next level. This professional, high energy duo will deliver an innovative, entertaining, and highly practical course in intermediate beekeeping. Lindsay and Julia, both BCHPA certified instructors and experienced urban and commercial beekeepers will teach you how to safely and confidently manage your colonies.

Rooted in a love for bees and the culture of the hive, these instructors offer a fresh approach to beekeeping.

This class is intended for those that have knowledge of the hive and understand the basic dynamics of the colony. We'll cover 4 modules, and all will be re-taught while in the hive. This class requires that you have protective gear for beekeeping as it's a major component to the education. Please bring a clean bee suit, gloves, hive tool, brush and smoker to class. You'll also need a pen and paper, because your going to learn a LOT!

Class runs from 9am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Class size is limited due to the hands-on nature of this series.

See you in June!
