Description
Maintain and repair your ride. PLEASE NOTE: You need to book both modules to cover all the material. Topics covered:
- Setting up and repairing derailleur gears
- Replacing gear cables
- Setting up hydraulic brakes
- Brake pad and brake rotor replacement and triage
- Wheel truing
- Suspension setup and adjustment
- Assessing drivetrain wear
- Cleaning and lubrication
- Chain and Cassette replacement
- Tools - what to pack, and what to keep in the garage
Course open to introduction course graduates, and those with limited previous experience (taking your wheels off, changing tubes, nothing too crazy...). Get the most from the course by bringing your own bike and the tools (if any!) you carry on a ride. But if you'd rather practice on another bike, that can be arranged (please email before course date)
Work space and tools provided by Icycle Sports. Tools and parts availible for discounted purchase at course conclusion.
