About this event

About the Workshop

In this workshop, you use R as a programming environment, allowing you to write more complex, yet clearer data analysis code. We will teach you three fundamental concepts of R programming: functions, classes, and packages.

You will learn how to:

  • access specific parts of an object and its attributes
  • use different classes of objects in generic R functions
  • create your own generic functions
  • structure a package and package libraries
  • create your own package and distribute it to other R users

This workshop will take place in person, if there are any changes, we will change it to Zoom and a Zoom link will be provided to participants prior to the workshop via email.

This is a 2 part workshop series. Your registration covers 2 sessions, totaling 6 hours of instruction.

  • Tuesday, Nov 23, 1-4 PM
  • Thursday, Nov 25, 1-4 PM
