THIS EVENT IS $10 FOR STUDENTS AND $20 FOR THE GENERAL COMMUNITY. Please register online and pay upond registration. If cost is an issue for students, please email aiuoft.president@gmail.com. We would like to have this event as accessible as possible for the UofT community.

SPEAKERS:

- The Honourable Bob Rae will be the featured speaker. As the Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Myanmar, Mr. Rae wrote a Report last year regarding the Rohingya crisis.

- Ti-Anna Wang will also be joining us as she and Mr. Rae address the topic: Human Rights Abuses - What can government and individuals do? Ti-Anna has been advocating for the release of her father, one of China's oldest political prisoners serving a life sentence for his pro-democracy activism. Earlier this year she was issued a visa to visit her father but was then denied entry and forced to return to Canada without seeing him.

Date: Wednesday September 18th

Location: Debates Room, 2nd floor at Hart House, University of Toronto

Time: 7 to 9:30 pm. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
