About this event
Attention International Students!
Cold Hands? Transform your mitts with Beaver Fur Handwarmers! Learn about how beaver fur transformed Canada, and how trapping transformed the Yukon. Make your own cozy reusable hand warmers with natural, biodegradable beaver fur.
Do you have an idea that solves a problem? One that can transform how we work, live or play? Do you need some help bringing this idea to life? Come and meet the team from YukonU's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre!
This workshop and talk is created for International Students, but all students are welcome.
This workshop will be happening in classroom A2402.
Instructor: Lisa Preto grew up in Whitehorse and has been trapping with her husband and young daughters for a decade. She started sewing with fur to keep her family warm, which grew into a business. She has taught hundreds of people to sew with fur. She knows that to love winter, you need to be warm.
