Introducing our Special Guest Speaker: Craig Glatthaar
Craig grew up in South Africa and his younger years were spent outdoors on a daily basis, catching snakes, frogs and spending as much time as possible in the water. Family holidays were off road affairs with trips through southern and Eastern Africa in the family’s trusty old 1978 Land rover called “Juddah”. This naturally led to a career in tourism and travel.
He furthered his education and passion for wildlife and qualified with a nature conservation certificate from North West Parks and Tourism Board, spending plenty of time studying and guiding on site in various parks that were than managed by the board.
Craig's journey has come full circle with his now applying his business acumen, guiding history and love of conservation to full use with Wilderness Safaris, a pre-eminent Southern African Safari company. During the last 30 plus years, Wilderness Safaris has developed an impressive portfolio of over 60 camps and lodges in 8 African countries. Wilderness Safaris, offers its guests private access to almost 7.5 million acres of Africa’s finest wildlife reserves, while remaining fiercely committed to protecting our planet’s precious natural and cultural resources. Craig, whether in the field or in head office, is passionate about Africa and its wildlife, and is completely committed to providing the best safari experience for guests. His experience as a guide along with his enthusiasm for his native land makes him the perfect candidate to accompany guests in the bush.
