Workshop Description:
Dive into the amazing world of colour with Nova Scotia Artist, Erika Stonehouse during a fun skill building workshop.
In art and design, colour allows us to create our own individuality and flare. Accurately combining colors, using the colour wheel, and understanding how colors relate to each other are critical skills for artists, designers and marketers.
During this workshop, participants will learn about light and colour and their definitions and relationship to each other. While working with Gouache paint, we will practice basic colour mixing and colour combinations. No experience is needed - just the willingness to learn!
In addition to this, Erika will walk you through the steps with ease to creating a basic color wheel. A professional Artist colour wheel is provided for reference (for in-studio use only)
You can expect to gain a deeper understanding about colour harmony and complimentary colors, so that you are able to see colours differently and understand how they work with respect to your art.
