Event description

Description

This fun project will teach you how to read the grain in Wood and how to cut precisely to a line using chisel and a mallet, and a coping saw. You will learn to shape wood using a spokeshave and scrapers. These skills are transferable to advanced projects like shaping guitar necks and building maloof style sculpted rockers.

This workshop will be great for first time woodworkers who are interested in developing skills in hand tool woodworking.

Hassan is a high school teacher who is passionate about hand tool woodworking. He specializes in sculpting beautiful walking canes without the use of any machines. He is currently running a very popular woodworking club with a focus on hand tools in one of the biggest schools in the province of Quebec.
