Event description

Jointly sponsored by the League of Intrapreneurs Canada and the School for Social Entrepreneurs, this is the free webinar/short version of a longer in-person workshop. For a list of SSE workshops, click HERE.

A common misconception is that we need to be the boss to get the big decisions we want made, and if we're not the boss, we just have to wait patiently to become the boss and/or for a friendly boss to arrive on the scene.

This webinar will introduce you to the secret world of "hidden bosses" and how you can build your influence to get people in positions of authority to make the decisions you know will make the world a better place.

About our Expert

Over the last twenty years, Marjorie Brans has obsessively wondered: “Can free market efficiency be reconciled with deep care for the planet and all of its creatures?” Seeking an elusive answer, she has hunted for clues on five continents in multinational corporations, venture capital funds, tiny social businesses, and charities including Oxfam America and Harvard Law School.

To recruit and train fellow explorers for the quest, she (co)founded the School for Social Entrepreneurs Ontario, League of Intrapreneurs Canada, CLARION (Community-Led Action to Resilience in our Neighbourhoods), and PhotoVoice (US). Despite their tired feet, Marjorie and her co-travelers suspect the answer is “yes”.
