with JP Davidson - freelance radio journalist, audio producer and podcaster
Learn to produce an independent podcast while avoiding common pitfalls and misconceptions. We’ll review podcast formats; home-recording and editing; plus distribution through SoundCloud, iTunes, and other platforms. We’ll briefly touch on advertising and other business models, and conclude with a Q&A.

Speaker Bio:
JP Davidson got his start in radio through podcasting. In 2010 he started a show about dating and relationships called I Like You in his friend’s kitchen. Since then he’s studied radio documentary production at the Transom Story Workshop, and produced stories for CBC, BBC, and NPR. Most of his work today though is in podcast production. JP has produced branded podcasts for RBC and Greenpeace Canada; and produced independent shows including Sittin’ in the Kitchen, The Curiosity Cast, and The Tale of a Town. JP is also the founder of the Canadian Sound & Story Workshop, a community for independent podcast, radio and multimedia producers.
