Intro to Seed Saving with David Catzel from the BC Eco Seed Co-op
Date and time
Description
What came first: the seed or the plant?
For most of us, the art of seed saving is a total mystery! But this skill that was once common practice is actually the key to locally sustainable food systems. In our Intro to Seed Saving workshop, David Catzel from the BC Eco Seed Co-op will discuss how to decide which types of seed to save, how to adapt varieties for our climate and how seed saving contributes to ecological resilience. If you're a new gardener with a few small pots on your balcony, or a full-fledged urban farmer, David will be able to answer your seed-related questions.
This is a free seminar, but limited capacity, so RSVP required. Become part of the growing movement of seed savers!
