Event description

Description

Learn how to dye your own beautiful yarn! We'll cover all the basics, including preparing the skeins, hand-painting, kettle-dyeing and home-dyeing safety. All materials are provided for this one-day workshop and you'll go home with at least 2 skeins of your own hand-dyed yarn.

This is an introductory level workshop. No previous experience is required. This workshop is suitable for people ages 14 and up. Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent for the duration of the workshop.

We have two more workshops coming up and a survey that you can fill out to help us think about creating a bigger community of dyers.

Workshop: Gradient Yarn Dyeing

About the instructor:

She studied Design for the Theatre at Concordia University, and still enjoys putting her dye skills to use in creating stage costumes on occasion as well.

Cet atelier sera presenté en anglais.
