Ayurveda (a-yur-ve-da) means the "wisdom of life". It originated in India more than 5000 years ago, practiced by the spiritual rishis, who laid the foundations of the Vedic civilization of India. Ayurveda is believed to be the oldest and the mother of all healing sciences in existence offering a rich, comprehensive outlook to a healthy life This ancient healing system is focused on three areas:

- Healing Illness
- Prevention of Disease
- Longevity or Quality of Life
