This 16 hr course offers an introduction to the material properties of copper and the basic skills and techniques involved in forming and joining it: hollowing and raising, planishing, repoussé, soft soldering and riveting. Students will complete a variety of small projects over the course of the weekend: a bowl, three fold formed objects, a raised image in copper sheet and a sample piece showing both soldered and riveted joinery.

Classes run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
