About this Event

A non-technical workshop that uses real-life case studies, and important concepts in Data Science help you understand the value and opportunities presented by Data Science.

This web based workshop will take place over 2 days and will include a Chat Moderator for live questions and Q&A portions after each module.

  • All participants must submit a Capstone Project to receive a certificate

Instructor 1: Shingai Manjengwa – Shingai’s career in data science career began in 2007 when she served multiple blue-chip clients including Colgate, Wal-Mart, Clorox, Kimberly Clark, Wrigley, Kraft/ Cadbury, Mars, and McCain in the CPG, Consumer Packaged Goods sector. Shingai has taught Business Analytics and Big Data Applications at a high school and college level and she is the founder of Fireside Analytics Academy, a program that helps high schools develop and deliver data science education. Shingai’s book, ‘The Computer and the Cancelled Music Lessons’ teaches data science to kids from ages 5 to 12. Shingai serves on the board of the Institute on Governance (IOG) and she is this year's recipient of the Public Policy Forum, 'Emerging Leader' award. You can find her on Twitter and Linkedin.

Instructor 2: Tapiwa Manjengwa has extensive experience and works at the intersection of Technology, Financial Services and Strategy from both a Business and IT perspective. Tapiwa has managed change across asset classes with major Banks, Institutional Investors and Insurance provides as well as multiple software firms ranging from global tier 1 technology companies to small start-up technology vendors. In addition to studying Technology Management with Columbia University, he has studied Fintech with MIT, and Disruptive strategy with the Harvard Extension School and an Advanced Managed Program (AMP) with the number 1 globally ranked IESE Business School. A skilled communicator, Tapiwa is adept at translating and distilling complex technical subjects into understandable and relatable topics. Tapiwa is a consummate start-up advisor for technology start-ups, specializing in business development, Go-to-Market strategies, sales forecasts and market opportunity analysis and strategy execution. Registration Cancellation by Participant

Cancellations are eligible for refund up to 4 days before the event date. All cancellations will be reviewed individually. Refunds will not be given for a “no show”.
