Introduction to DevOps – and how it impacts Business Analysts

Many organizations are moving to the DevOps framework, and there are a lot of job postings for DevOps developers. Why was this framework introduced and what’s the appeal? How does this framework change the development and delivery cycle, and what does it mean for the organization that adopts it? Most relevant of all for business analysts: where does the business of doing analysis fit into this framework?

At its core, DevOps is a combination of practices, tools and cultural philosophies that increases an organizational ability to deliver applications. DevOps organizations embrace Agile project management, and follow Continuous Delivery principles to achieve an unprecedented speed of software delivery in conjunction with increase quality. Join Val Novikov, a local expert and instructor on Continuous Delivery, to learn about the general structure of the DevOps framework, why organizations are keen to adopt it, and what it means for business analysis work and business analysts.
