About this event
Are you interested in exploring fundraising as a career? Are you just starting to raise money for your organization or project? This remote ZOOM workshop is designed to provide a general overview of fundraising concepts and terminology that will strengthen your understanding of how to raise money. Join us as we introduce aspects of fundraising from identifying donors to stewarding them and everything in between.
ABOUT YOUR TRAINER:
A fundraiser, consultant, teacher and mentor, Rowena Veylan has been working within the non-profit sector since 2003. She has held positions at a number of different organizations and is currently the Founder and Lead Instructor at the New School of Fundraising. She has taught fundraising-related courses at BCIT and the Art Institute Of Vancouver. She has also guest lectured and participated as a panelist for the Association of Professional Fundraisers, VantagePoint and Selkirk College.
Rowena whole heartedly loves what she does and her passion for her work has been described as contagious. She approaches each task and conversation with the belief that she is helping to make the world ..... a little better.
