About this event
Join me to discover the art of hand lettering!
In this introductory workshop, you'll learn all about how to get started with hand lettering and will have the opportunity to create your own piece to take home. The two hours will be packed with tips that I wish I knew when I started out and have learned along the way, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
No prior lettering experience is required - this class is for beginners and is perfect if you’ve been curious about hand lettering but aren't sure where to begin!
Space is limited to ensure there is time for personal instruction as you practice, so make sure to register in advance!
Class Overview
Together, we'll go through:
- The basics: How to start & beginner tools
- Tips for tackling those tricky letters (I see you, S!)
- Common beginner mistakes to avoid in your lettering
- Layout planning (no more 'Happy Birthday' cards with a tiiiiny little y)
- How to continue developing your practice & stay inspired
Lettering Starter Kit Included
A starter kit is included in the cost of the workshop, which consists of a lettering workbook, Bristol paper for your final piece, and a collection of a few of my go-to lettering tools.
Required Materials
None - all required materials for this workshop will be provided. If you have some of your own tools at home that you'd like to bring to the workshop, please feel free to!
