ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: As a little girl, Ann Picavet grew up with her grandma and mother knitting, sewing, cross-stitching whenever there was free time. She was fascinated by the magic of creating items out of something as simple as yarn and string. She constantly is looking to understand and learn different techniques. Many years ago she learned how to make lace, a technique that is a combination of weaving and beading. From there, she ventured into weaving, spinning and kumihimo. Ann likes to share her passion for fibre and its relaxing and often therapeutic influence.
