Introduction to Mindfulness I

(4 x 1 hr consecutive classes over 4 weeks) - Sept 13, 20, 27, and Oct 4

This highly participatory program offers you an opportunity to explore basic principles of Mindfulness and your relationship with life stressors.

In a small group setting, you will have an opportunity to slow down and engage in paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally to your mind, body sensations, emotions and their interconnectedness. Large body of research suggests that engaging on regular basis in mindfulness practices like breath awareness, body scan and various meditation practices increases our resilience and cultivates self-regulation skills.

Local mindfullness expert Wieslawa Hyzyk, M.Ed. of Mindful Life Transitions, Waterloo, ON shares proven ways to help manage daily stressors with more positive outcomes, enhance self-regulation and promote general well being.
