Introduction to SFU Timesheets (for Current Timekeepers)

SFU's Payroll and Human Resources departments are pleased to jointly offer an introduction to SFU Timesheets as an information session for new timekeepers and/or timekeepers who would like to refresh their skills and obtain information on frequently asked questions from Payroll and HR.

 

Topics Covered:

 Payroll timetables/deadlines

  • Setting up bi-weekly schedules
  • Adding new employees
  • Differences between hourly (including Temp Pool) and salaried payroll
  • FAQs regarding collective agreement/policy interpretation as it relates to timekeeping

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of timesheets and timekeeping fundamentals at SFU
  • Understand collective agreement/policy interpretation relating to overtime, statutory holidays, modified work weeks, Christmas closure and more
