An introduction to the seated practice of the 8 Brocades Qigong and its many benefits, following ancient Taoist Master Li Qingyun.

About this event

Learn about the Eight Brocades Qigong for attaining good health, vitality, and longevity. Taoist sages used their deep intuition and insight to develop these simple, yet advanced practices. The exercises serve to trigger the body's memory to go backward in the aging process, toward the time when their bodies were first developing in the womb and had their fullest powers and potentials. By recreating the movements and coordinating them with the breath, we will help the body remember and utilize its youthful ways of operating internally once again.

These exercises are performed while seated and are accessible to all.

This introduction marks the beginning of 12 weeks of practice and training, starting September 15th. Classes will run Thursday evenings, 5-6pm PT (with an additional 15 minutes for questions, as needed). Participants can join in-person at Taghum Hall in Nelson, BC, or live via Zoom for $15/drop-in. The entire course is $150 and includes access to all recordings for a year (Eventbrite introduction plus classes). DYA members are automatically included. Those wishing purchase the entire course need not attend the live classes.
