Event description

Description

Introduction to the Feldenkrais® Method

The Feldenkrais Method® was created by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984): physicist, engineer, researcher, Judo master, and author. The Feldenkrais Method® is a body education system that uses your natural ability to learn and therefore help you be more aware of your habits. Through this practice individuals can learn the relationship between directed attention, movement, emotion, and learning. With awareness, you can move better and feel better.

Join in this half day experiential workshop;

  • Describe how Moshe Feldenkrais created the Feldenkrais® Method
  • Facilitate your comprehension of how the Feldenkrais® Method uses neuroplasticity principles
  • Integrate Awareness Through Movement® lessons to aid in your understanding of the neuroscience of chronic pain
  • Explain why chronic pain is not all physical
  • Illustrate concepts “no pain-more gain” and debunk common pain beliefs
  • Provide you with self-management tools to co-construct with your clients
  • Focus on meaningful activities

This workshop is ideal for health care professionals
