Description

This seminar will help you function as a mediator and help to achieve out of court settlements that are legally enforceable. This seminar is an introduction for those who seek clarification about what mediation is, when it can be used, the process and who can faciliate the session. Participants will receive a half-day session and receive materials which should enable you to have a good foundation on which to build a mediation practice or compliment your current role as a pastor, psychologist, lawyer etc.

Kevin Sawyer is a court rostered mediator in Ottawa. He is a former federal prison chaplain of 15 years with the Correctional Services of Canada. He has worked in maximum and medium security levels and then as a Regional Chaplaincy Manager in Ottawa.

Kevin has a degree in theology from St. Paul University and two law degrees from McGill University. He is a director for Joy Health and Research Centre and owner of Sawyer Mediation. He enjoys family, commercial and employment related mediation.
