CMHA Middlesex: Public Educator

Trix Van Egmond is a mental health public educator for the Middlesex Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. It has multiple locations, including Strathroy, London, Goderich and Exeter.  Trix is located in London, Ontario but is able to provide information sessions at any site in the CMHA Middlesex catchment area.

I provide workshops on stress, specific mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, etc., especially for adults and adolescents.  On occasion, I will also host other people who speak about their personal experience with mental illness or as a family member supporting others with mental health problems.  Additionally, I also host other professionals who may provide workshops on treatments, as well as specific certificate trainings such as Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training or Mental Health First Aid.

The non-certificate events are often 1 to 3 hours in length, involve lecture and/or documentary film with lots of opportunity for questions.

I can be contacted at 519-668-0624, x.291 during office hours or for more information."
