Join us June 10th - 11th, 2017 for our Introductory Virtual Reality Workshop. Learn the basics of VR and how to create a virtual reality experience from scratch. This course is beginner friendly, no previous experience is required.


By the end of the Introductory VR Workshop you will understand the basics of VR and will have built a VR experience of your own. During the afterparty, you'll get to know a community of VR devs and learn how to startup your own VR projects.


During the workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to use Unity to build a vritual reality experience

  • Work directly with instructors from Academy of VR

  • Build a VR game that you can show on any smartphone

  • Receive a detailed course curriculum

  • Enjoy complementary refreshments and a healthy dinner

  • Play nearly every game on the Vive & Oculus Rift during downtime

You'll learn to:

  • Build a VR game from scratch in Unity

  • Use tools from Google VR

  • Use Unity, the leading 3D game engine, to create VR experiences of your own

You'll leave with:

  • A VR project you can show off and build upon

  • An understanding of how to use Unity to create your own VR projects

  • A network of friends and colleagues who are passionate about VR

Course Requirements:

  • A laptop or computer with Unity version 5 (free) installed (Mac's are acceptable)

  • A mouse with a scroll wheel is highly recommended (trust us, it makes a huge difference)

Instructors:


Jason Campbell, Amanda End and Daniel Nascimento have a combined 10+ years of experience building VR/AR software and applications in Unity. They've worked on professional projects that include commercial releases for large companies and VR studios, independent game contracts as well as self-publishing original content on platforms like Steam.
