About this event
Want to learn more about invasive species in British Columbia and the methods used to identify, source, remove, handle and create items from these plant materials? Nursery Staff Member Sam Mactavish will lead a short walk to identify and discuss invasive plants on site. Then Erica Mulder, volunteer and avid plant lover will present a weaving demo and discuss her practices with invasive species, ethical foraging and sourcing. While displaying ways to use these materials including basketry, cordage, natural dyeing and more.
How To Attend: This is an on-site, outdoor event. Max 12 pre-registered; room for 3-5 first come first serve on site.
Check-in/meet at the Welcome Table near the Hut at 11:25 am.
