Italian New Year's Eve in Partnership with Second Harvest

Explore rich traditions as you join us in ringing in the Italian new year at Eataly Toronto.

On December 31, cultures across the world celebrate the arrival of il capodanno, the New Year. In Italy – a country that already loves festivals – it is especially auspicious for corresponding with the feast day of Pope San Silvestro.

In this specialty dinner, get a taste of some of our favourite staple dishes to ring in the new year as you learn about our Italian holiday traditions.

Since its opening, Eataly has worked with Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue charity, to raise awareness about reducing food waste and donating resources. As a continuation of our partnership, we will be donating the profits from this class towards their initiative.

We look forward to kicking off 2023 with you amici, with a countdown to New Year’s at midnight – Italian time!

In this class guests will:

• Celebrate the Italian new year with a glass prosecco
• Enjoy a four course meal with wine pairings prepared in-house specially for the occasion

Menu:

Antipasto trio paired with Tornatore - Etna Bianco

• Bruschetta with butter, caviar and lemon zest
• Bruschetta with whipped cream fraiche, smoked salmon
• Capesante Marinate - marinated scallops

Primo

• Risotto with Robiola cheese, hazelnuts and amaretto honey paired with Fontanafredda - Pradalupo Arneis

Secondo

• Cotechino con Lenticchie e Purea di Patate – Cotechino lentils and mash potatoes paired with Poderi del Nespoli - Sangiovese Superiore

Dolce

• Panettone served with mascarpone and tangerine zest, topped with warm Venchi chocolate from our in house fountain

- Please note, if purchasing a single ticket, you will be seated at a table of two with another individual.

- Please note, we are unable to accommodate any dietary restrictions for this dinner.
