Looking for help with Guided Reading? Come and meet the renowned educator and writer, Jan Richardson!

About this Event

Jan Richardson will be in Williams Lake for two full days- Monday, August 26th, and Tuesday, August 27th.

Monday, August 26th

  • Focus will be on Pre A, Early, and Emergent Lessons

Tuesday, August 27th

  • Focus will be Transitional and Fluent Lessons, as well as Comprehension Strategies

Everyone is welcome at either, or both, days. It will depend on the range you teach in your room/school.

Bio:

Jan Richardson, Ph.D., often called America’s leading expert in guided reading. She is a former teacher (K-college), reading specialist, Reading Recovery® teacher leader, and designer of staff development.

Ms. Richardson is currently an author and education consultant, providing school districts with customized professional development workshops and classroom demonstrations. With electrifying wit and wisdom, Jan leaves audiences, informed, motivated, and inspired.

Dr. Richardson’s best-selling Next Step Collection includes The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading, The Guided Reading Teacher’s Companion: Prompts and Discussion Starters, Next Step Guided Reading in Action, and Next Step Guided Reading Assessment, co-authored with Maria Walther.

Cancellation policy: If you have to cancel your registration, please notify us as soon as possible. Refunds will only be given up to August 19th, and there will be a cancellation fee of $50.
