About our feature artist Jason McCoy

A nearly 30 year veteran of the music industry, and two-time CCMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Jason McCoy’s talents in entertainment know no bounds. Growing up in the small town of Minesing, Ontario, Jason admired the well-rounded artistry of classic entertainers Roger Miller, Johnny Cash and Glen Campbell.

Jason set out at the age of 19 to follow his own path to stardom, compiling multiple CCMA awards, a Gold album and CMA Global Artist Award (Nashville CMA) along the way. As creator and front man of the best selling band in Canadian country music history, The Road Hammers, Jason took on the Country Rock genre and guided the band to unprecedented success throughout Canada and the United States, picking up a platinum album, platinum and gold singles, multiple wins for CCMA Group of the Year, and a Juno Award.

Equally comfortable behind the mic, or in front of the camera, Jason McCoy has become an incredibly well-rounded entertainer hosting multiple award shows, radio shows, and television appearances over years on CMT & beyond. Most recently, Jason has been the voice of Pure Country Morning’s on his hometown radio station in Orillia, ON. Whether he’s sharing songs on intimate stages or rocking out alongside his brothers in The Road Hammers, Jason continues to entertain no matter the audience. In between performance dates around the world, Jason prizes the time he spends with his wife and two children at their home farm, just two miles from the small town of Minesing where it all began.

Crafting songs and looking to the future as he celebrates 25 years since the release of his smash hit single “Born Again in Dixieland”, McCoy is returning with new solo music for the first time in over 10 years.
