Event description

Description

Does public speaking terrify you? The idea of getting up in front of a group of people to present make you want to run away? Or, do you feel like you’re a pretty good speaker, but would like to refine your skills and get some practice?

Join us March 25th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for a chance to learn skills and strategies, practice your presentations and gain tons of confidence.

Jennifer Derzaph is a long-time JCI member, JCI Senator and was one of the designers of the Effective Speaking Program when it was created. She was one of the judges of our Speaking Competition in Calgary last year. She's coached dozens of speakers who have competed locally, nationally and internationally. Jennifer is a fantastic trainer for this course and we are so excited to have her!

This is an award-winning JCI course, designed in BC and delivered in Calgary for many years. You’ll go through some learning modules, and most importantly have a chance to connect with others in the group and have many chances to practice what you’re learning. If you’re thinking of participating in JCI’s Effective Speaking competitions this year, you’ll also learn the rules and specific nuances of how to do that.

Location: Calgary Central Public Library
Cost: Members FREE - Non Members: $150
