Event description

Description

The pace of research over the past 40 years has been extraordinary, and JDRF remains committed to staying at the forefront of T1D research innovation.

We invite you for an update on our most exciting research projects and our vision for the future of JDRF Canada as part of a larger, global organization from Dr. Sarah Linklater, JDRF Canada's newly appointed Chief Scientific Officer.

Sarah has over a decade of extensive experience as a professional scientific editor, with a focus on clinical diabetes and endocrinology, basic immunology and other areas of the life sciences. In her role as JDRF Canada’s CSO, Sarah will lead the progress of our research partnerships and support our efforts to effectively engage the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.

Join us in Kamloops for this free event to network with other T1Ds, see the latest in T1D management technology and learn more about how JDRF is driving the pace of science leading to better treatments and eventually a cure tor Type 1 Diabetes.

The doors will open at 6:30 for registration and networking reception featuring the most popular T1D technology providers, Abbott, Dexcom, Medtronic, Omnipod, Tandem, and Ypsomed. Presentations will start at 7:30, and we plan to allow 15 minutes for questions at the end.

Snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available. This event is free. Pre-registration is required.
