Enter the 2018 running season with your body and mind prepped for the new training cycle. Become resilient with your running. Join Joga Coach, Melissa Doldron for an 8-week Joga for Runners class that will have you working on your conditioning, balance and recovery. Build strength and stability, improve your joint mobility, sharpen your focus and calm your mind.

Breathe. Move. Recover.

What is Joga? Joga bridges the gap between traditional yoga and the biomechanics of sport. We don’t care if you can touch your toes! Each movement has an athletic benefit and/or injury prevention component. Learn full body awareness, breath control, become more agile, improve concentration.

Class Breakdown:
Weeks 1-3: Get Strong
Connect breath to movement. Move and stabilize within kinetic chains. Activate the core and use it to drive movement. Rebuild symmetry.
Weeks 4-5: Energize
Focus on mental and physical control. Increase strength, mobility and stability through shoulders and hips.
Weeks 6-7: Build Balance
Turn weaknesses into strengths, create more balance in body and mind.
Week 8: Recover + Regenerate
Silent victories. Celebrate how the body moves and feels. A little more fluidly, more balanced. Deeper awareness of breath, body and mind.

As a Registered Sports Massage Therapist and Joga Coach, Melissa understands the needs of athletes. A massive sports enthusiast, among running, cycling and Joga, watching baseball is her jam. When she’s not racing or screaming for runners at cheer squads, you’ll find her travelling to ballparks across North America in search of the perfect game.
