About this Event

It's that time of year again to wipe the sweat from your brows and fling it in someones eye. Ice water bottles on the back of your neck to cool you down. Make sure to keep a rag on hand ;)

Let me ask you this: Are you ready to bruk out?

Come whine ya waist with afro-carribs Noka Palm Trees x GLOWZI

We'll be announcing our surprise around 12:30AM!!!

GLOWZI

***********

https://www.glowzi.design/

G L O W Z I is a mixed media artist. From painting to digital drawing and vinyl mixing, the emerging artist always lets her curiosity guide her through the vast and majestic art world. Through her pieces, G L O W Z I explores various themes such as blackness, power, nostalgia and many more.

-

In the last year, she had the chance to expose her pieces at multiple venues including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) and the Mile-End Gallery. G L O W Z I also recently hosted her first fashion presentation, and has done many illustrations for magazines and journals such as The Link and The McGill Daily.

-

By representing her ways of thinking, struggles, successes and failures through her pieces, G L O W Z I invites anyone whose eyes meet her creations into her funky world.

Noka Palm Trees

********************

http://www.nokapalmtrees.com

Noka Palm Trees is a multidisciplinary artist, poet and afrofuturist taking up space (for the better) in the icey death trap known as Tiohtiá :ke. Stay and witness the rediscovering of their many selves through shedding inter-generational trauma and growing into softness through their seasoned culture.

Their work is rooted in Afro-futurism, Jamaican pinnacles and everything discolicious funktastic.

Le Ritz PDB is wheelchair accessible, with a metal ramp on the inside of the front entrance. The bar is located on the ground floor, its entry facing directly onto Jean-Talon Ouest. Washrooms are also wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral.

This event takes place on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka. The island called “Montreal” is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien’kehá:ka, and it has historically been a meeting place for many Indigenous nations.
