In elementary school Jordan would doodle geometrical patterns during class time. At school his mind would wander far, but he discovered drawing patterns drew his attention to one point.
He could listen and retain more information better with a pencil in his hand, than fighting desperately to focus on the teacher's voice.
Instead of taking notes in written form, he would draw pictures to give meanings to terms, and to help him understand what was being taught.
Jordan Cooper is self-taught illustrator from New Westminster, BC. He began drawing at a young age; trying to replicate what he saw in crayon, pencil, felts & gel pens.
He mainly uses graphite on whatever paper he's fond of at the time.
This is his first show, showcasing a variety of illustrations.
Exhibition continues until July 26th
Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 12 – 6, Sunday 12 – 5
