Description

There is medicine all around us.

Join Lakefield herbalist Aryn Mahood to explore the identification, medicinal values, modern and traditional uses, folklore and preparation of our local medicinal plants.

Aryn and Cherianne will lead you along the Gamiing nature trails to explore the interesting world of herbalism. Come dressed for the outdoors & wear suitable footwear as we will be out there rain or shine! We encourage you to pack a water bottle, small snack and a notebook/phone to take notes or pictures.

If this is something your child is interested in or that you want them to know, they are welcome. Please be mindful that this is a learning environment and distractions can be very..well distracting ;) We have only opened up a handful of child tickets.

Brief Biography:
Aryn Mahood, Owner of Sweet Song

Aryn Mahood has been working in the field of Medical Herbalism for over 14 years. She blends European and North American folk medicine with indigenous tradition and teachings.

Blending science with traditional knowledge.

Aryn is a medicine maker, a wild crafter and a student of nature. She owns a small business called Sweet Song which specializes in local medicinal plant preparations.
