March Break Junior Chef Culinary & Life Skills Camp

About this Event

Is your 11-15 year old a Jr. Chef in the making, looking for adventure in the kitchen and to gain some new found cooking skills while also making new friends?

Join award winning Chopped Canada Champion, Chef Pam Fanjoy, who is also a Clinical Social Worker with 25 + years of experience specializing with adolescents and family therapy.

In her 30 seat restaurant in #hillsburgh, this innovative Chef is now combining her passion for food & her years of therapy experience to teach children communication skills, collaboration, problem solving, perserverance, etiquette and cooperation as they spend their PD Days working as a team in a real commercial restaurant kitchen.

We also invite you to bring your friends for lunch as these Jr. Chefs will use their new skills and actually serve lunch in the restaurant with Chef Pam - learning a whole other set of valuable skills out in the dining room serving our community!

Registration fee now includes a flexible family option for registering your child for 1/2 day at a reduced fee of $495/5 days half days or upgrade with our Creative Expressions afternoon full day package for an additional $175/week where your child will participate in creative arts and field trips from 2-4pm each day.

Fees include our 5 fun filled half day adventures of cooking, eating, creating, a field trip to the Hillsburgh Fire Department for fire safety training a Fan/Joy Jr. Chef hat and 5 morning snacks. Lunch is not included on the half day program but your jr. chef can join you and your friends when you dine in easily enough!

Our week will culminate on Friday with a Chopped Canada style lunchtime competition and creative presentation of their talents. It's a great event to book a reservation for to watch all of the action!

Private sessions are also now available on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, often preferred by youth experiencing anxiety, depression, social struggles, autism or medical concerns. Call Pam at 519-308-0900 for further details. Sessions may be covered under government or private health care benefits if you qualify.
