Join author and journalist Kamal Al-Solaylee to discuss his latest book, Brown: What Being Brown in the World Today Means (to Everyone), winner of the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing (2016). Kamal Al-Solaylee has been a distinguished writer at The Globe and Mail, and has written features for the Toronto Star, National Post, The Walrus, Toronto Life, Chatelaine, the Literary Review of Canada and Elle Canada. His bestselling memoir, Intolerable: A Memoir of Extremes, was the winner of the Toronto Book Award. He is an associate professor at the School of Journalism at Ryerson University.
