Event description
Come out and support local sustainability efforts in your community! Brainstorm sustainability projects that you can start today.

About this Event

Come join us Tuesday, October 29th 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Beaverbrook Community Centre in Ottawa for a night of discussions on community sustainability and sustainability projects.

Ottawa Biosphere Eco-City (OBEC) is a local environmental educational charity working to encourage engagement and cooperation in sustainability in communities all across Ottawa.

Our goal is to engage local citizens in discussion in their communities and come up with a Community Sustainability Plan (CSP) that will inspire them to start their own sustainability projects.

This event will be a workshop on Kanata's sustainability efforts, OBEC’S 10 sustainability themes (food, transport, waste, energy, habitat, natural capital, design, health, recreation and sense of place) and an interactive discussion led by the community, where we come up with tangible sustainability projects and identify leaders who will make them happen!

Please browse our website to explore more about our work, community sustainability plans and our database of sustainability projects: http://obec-evbo.ca.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there and making sustainability a priority in your community.
