Hey Dog Lovers! Bring your furry friend and a enjoy FREE stroll through Doon Heritage Village.

About this event

Bring your furry friend and enjoy limited access to our 60-acre living history village for this special safe doggie evening! Our breathtaking views and historic rural buildings are the perfect backdrop for your photogenic four-legged friends. Our village offers a quaint walk with your furry friend though 1914 . Wander down the gravel paths that lead the way to picture perfect homes and shops from a bygone era. Stop by the Railway Station, complete with a train engine, walk through a covered bridge and visit the traditional Fire Hall, farms, and flower gardens.

Break free from your ordinary neighbourhood dog walks and join us in the extraordinary 1914 era!

FREE ADMISSION. Advanced registration required. Event runs rain or shine. A ticket must be presented in order to gain access to the site. All dogs must remained leashed and pet owners must pick up after their pet(s).

Masks are required for everyone, even outside and physical distancing should be observed while on-site.

The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum building, including access to washrooms, will be closed. Village buildings will also be closed, including outdoor washrooms , as they are too small to adhere to provincial and Region of Waterloo Public Health guidelines. Costumed staff and farm animals will also not be present for the village experience.

No commercial photography permitted. No business including professional dog trainers may use the event to conduct their business. Aggressive dogs are not allowed. If a dog starts acting aggressively, it must be removed from the event immediately. If a dog digs a hole, it is the responsibility of the owner to fill it before departing from the event.

Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is the largest community museum in Ontario with two indoor museum galleries and a 60 acre living history exhibit called Doon Heritage Village that is open seasonally from May 1 to December 23.
