Preparing for the Upcoming School Year – Accessibility in Online Learning

About this Event

The Fall 2020 term will be unique, as schools have adapted to online and blended learning environments. This includes delivery considerations and planning for accessibility services.

You are invited to Info and Q&A sessions with Accessibility Services coordinators and staff from across the province. The sessions will be co-hosted by representatives of the three provincial accessibility support organizations: Academic Communication Equity-British Columbia (ACE-BC, formerly Post-Secondary Communication Access Services), Assistive Technology BC (AT-BC), and the Centre for Accessible Post-secondary Education Resources (CAPER-BC).

We are here to help as you settle into your classes. The Kick Start student information sessions are for you to ask any questions you may have about online accessibility in your various learning environments. What's important for others to know about your experiences in this new way of learning? We want to hear about your successes and challenges with access or participation in online, remote learning so we can support you together.

We hope that these conversations will leave you feeling prepared for a successful start to the new term!
