Kickstarting Creativity : Drawing for the Brain

About this Event
This session focuses on simple drawing exercises and how we can use doodling to process information, unlock creativity, solve problems, and relieve stress. We'll work through the ways drawing impacts our brains and how to harness those tools for wellbeing.
This is a complement to the Sketching and Self Care workshop but they can be taken together or separately. No previous drawing experience or special tools are required. If you have some time and space, a pen and paper, you have everything you need.
If you've got drawing materials or a sketchbook you love, have them at hand, but just a regular old pen and paper will work just beautifully. Our friends over at Makerhouse have some great sketchables like these coloured pencils and upcycled notebooks if you'd like to pick some up for the class AND shop local at the same time!
Please note this event will take place over Zoom so make sure to take some time and test it out before the workshop just to make sure you can enjoy the fun without any tech issues. The primary language of instruction in this session is English but all instructions, participation and question / answers can also take place in French.
