We know how difficult and stressful it can be to land your first design job. What can you do to stand out and embrace your uniqueness? How do you discover your values and what you want out of your career? These are some of the questions we’ll be working through together. as well as sharing advice on preparing your portfolio, writing successful case studies, and nailing take-home assignments.

Angie Kwan
Angie Kwan is a product designer at Uber Eats, working on a new ads product for restaurants to grow their businesses. Previously, she worked at Deloitte Digital as a UX consultant where she designed and shipped end-to-end digital experiences for clients. Coming from an accounting and finance background herself, Angie is passionate about helping others who want to transition their careers into design.
Femke van van Schoonhoven
Femke van Schoonhoven is a product designer at Uber Eats, previously working on Uber Money. Beyond work she co-hosts a weekly podcast (Design Life) about design and side projects, along with a YouTube channel touching on topics related to design and research. Femke is passionate about connecting designers and has helped mentor many designers prepare their portfolio and job application.
