Kids for Animals Club (ages 7-10)
The goal of the Kids for Animals Club is to learn as much as possible about animals. The more we know, the better we’re able to be their friends. We believe in the humane treatment of all animals.
A Kids for Animals Club member will learn:
- The amazing diversity of animals in our world
- How to properly care for animals
- Empathy, compassion and respect for all living things
- Ecological responsibility and sustainable living practices
This Kids for Animals Club will meet one Thursday evening per week from January 12 to March 16, 2017. In the past, our activities have included nature hikes, crafts, games, grooming activities, choosing pets, and visiting speakers from other animal related organizations.
We have small, ongoing fundraising activities - mostly recycling bottles and cans - to contribute to animal related projects. We've purchased much needed equipment for the Shelter animals including agility obstacles, equipment for our peace officers and specialized medical instruments for animal health!
Our WEEKLY Thursday KFAC meetings will be held on the following dates (from 5:30-7:30pm):
