Description

Mardi Michels, author of In the French Kitchen with Kids, will run two French cooking and baking workshops on Saturday, April 27, for children from eight to fifteen in one of our professional production culinary labs. We will be running two classes, one in the morning for ages eight to eleven, and then another for ages twelve to fifteen from 1pm-3pm. Participants will learn to prepare classic French dishes that might inspire them to volunteer in the kitchen every day of the week.

Every workshop participant will receive a copy of In the French Kitchen with Kids.

Schedule

  • SOLD OUT!: 9:00 am–11:00 am: Morning Class (Ages 8–11)
    Menu: Quiche including pastry, Trio of Salads, Mixed Berry Galette
  • 1:00 pm–3:00 pm: Afternoon Class (Ages 12–15)
    Menu: Gougères, Tomates Farcies, Ratatouille Tian, Mini Tartes Tatin

About Mardi Michels

Mardi grew up in Australia, lived and taught in Paris for over five years, and now she calls Toronto home. She is a full-time French teacher to elementary school-aged boys and the author of eat. live. travel. write., a blog focusing on culinary adventures near and far. She also runs Les Petits Chefs and Cooking Basics — cooking classes for boys aged seven to fourteen. In 2014, Mardi and her husband purchased a historic home in southwest France, which they operate as a vacation rental property.
