The University of Alberta's Faculty of Extension is pleased to offer our third workshop in a series of Indigenous workshops that will be offered this summer.
Engage in sweetgrass picking in the River Valley with Alsena White, Knowledge Keeper from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, as she shares personal stories and the powerful connection to the land. You will learn how to sew a sweetgrass turtle.
NOTES:
- This is a two-day workshop that will take place from 12:30–3:30 on both July 20 & 21.
- Meet at Enterprise Square and walk to the river valley, dress for the weather.
- The fee covers the cost of supplies, which will be provided on-site.
